Two people were killed in an early morning commercial vehicle crash near Catoosa, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP).
The crash occurred around 3:30 a.m. on August 7 on eastbound I-44 at 165th East Avenue.
According to Fox 23, a UPS truck became disabled due to an airbrake issue.
A second semi truck struck the stalled truck from the rear, resulting in a vehicle fire.
Two people inside the second semi truck died in the crash.
The UPS truck driver suffered minor injuries.

According to the Tulsa Fire Department, drivers should expect a long-term closure of eastbound I-44.
The crash remains under investigation.
