Two people were injured in a multiple semi truck crash in Iowa on Monday morning.
The crash occurred at 5:30 a.m. on August 5, according to the Iowa State Patrol (ISP).
Iowa troopers say that four semi trucks collided on eastbound I-80 at mile marker 246.
Two people were transported to hospitals for treatment as a result of the multi-vehicle crash.
The crash shut down eastbound I-80 for several hours, but all lanes have since reopened.
ISP shared several images of the crash site. “These powerful images serve as a stark reminder of how quickly life can change on the road,” troopers said.
The crash is under investigation.
