Two killed in crash between two CMVs and a passenger car

Two people are dead after a Monday morning crash between two tractor trailers and a car in Philadelphia. 

The accident happened on December 9th at around 5 a.m. along Interstate 78 in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. 

According to NBC Philadelphia, the crash between the three vehicles occurred on I-78 eastbound near route 309. 

Reading Eagle reports that three people were pushing a broken down Toyota Sienna in the right lane of travel when it was struck by a tractor trailer, which was then struck by another semi truck. One man pushing the car was killed, and the driver of the Volvo semi truck also died in the crash. 

A Volvo tractor trailer and a Freightliner were involved in the crash, but it is unclear which struck the pedestrian. The pedestrian’s identity has not been determined, but the deceased truck driver has been identified as 30-year-old Nicolas James Bolotine.
