A kind cop gives this truck driver an insider-tip about parking on a highway ramp in Georgia in this video.
In the clip, a truck driver is taking his 10 on an off-ramp along Interstate 75 in Cartersville, Georgia when a cop pulls up behind him.
Although the cop is in the right, and explains that he could issue a $171 ticket for the driver choosing to park there, the officer instead offers an insider tip that could really help out a trucker in a tough parking situation.
“Here;s what I tell all the drivers:” the officer begins. “The next exit is not us. It’s two miles up. It’s not my agency, okay? So you won’t… all I can guarantee is you won’t see ME up there… Doesn’t mean THEY won’t enforce it, but here they’re real strict – this exit and the one below. We keep them cleared off.”
The officer then asks for the typical papers “to make sure you’re legit,” and seemingly lets the driver go on his way.
Debate over parking on ramps aside, it sure was kind of that officer to let the driver go. Watch the video of the surprisingly nice encounter below.
