Vancouver police are searching for a truck driver who struck a bridge and then fled the scene late last week.
The accident was caught on another trucker’s dash cam on Friday, September 6th near the Clover Road overpass in the Metro Vancouver area.
According to the Nelson Star, the overpass is just under 14.5 feet tall, and caused serious damage to the semi truck in question.
“There was debris on the ground,” read a post about the incident. “He [the driver] initially stopped, then fled the scene. The police are looking for the transporter.”
The collision marks the 17th overpass strike in the Metro Vancouver area in 2024 so far. At least one trucking company has had its license to operate revoked this year due to bridge strikes.
