This week, a Walmart truck driver was celebrated for hitting 5 million safe miles.
On May 15, a celebration was held at the Walmart Distribution Center in Laurens, South Carolina, in honor of the trucking career of veteran driver Warren Crane.
Crane has driven for Walmart for 36 years and recently achieved 5 million safe miles.
Crane is only the second driver in company history to achieve this safety milestone, Walmart says.
The ceremony at the Laurens Walmart Distribution Center featured a police escort for Crane’s truck.
The ceremony was attended by Walmart associates, the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office and other law enforcement, and Crane’s friends and family.
The secret to Crane’s decades of safe driving is taking it “one mile at a time, one day at a time.”
