Watch how heavy haulers maneuver giant wind turbine blades through a tiny town

Eye-popping photos and video have emerged of truckers hauling giant wind turbine blades through a tiny town in Scotland en route to a wind farm.

Over the fall of 2023 through early 2024, several wind turbine blades have been hauled through the town of Hawick in Scotland on their way to the Pines Burn wind farm near the town. The blades are about 212 feet in length.

Because of the town’s narrow streets and other obstacles, the heavy haulers are positioning the turbine blades so that they’re tipping upward to help maneuver the load through the town.
