This week, Wawa company officials announced plans to open a first-ever travel center with trucker-friendly amenities.
Convenience store chain Wawa plans to open a first-of-its-kind Travel Center Store in Hope Mills, North Carolina, in Q2 of 2025, according to the Greater Fayetteville Business Journal.
The Travel Center Store will differ from a typical Wawa in that it is designed to serve family travelers with large restrooms and RV parking, but it is also meant for use by professional drivers.
The Wawa Travel Center will offer free semi truck parking, high speed diesel fueling, a CAT Scale, in-store seating, and a selection of merchandise designed for professional drivers.
Wawa is a privately-held and family-owned convenience store retailer operating 1,050 stores in seven states and Washington, D.C.
