Work van cuts off trucker and ruins both their days

A motorist in a work van cut in front of a truck driver and ruined both of their days in this traffic cam footage captured in Minnesota. 

The accident happened on Interstate 494 at Highway 100 at around 6 in the morning. In the footage, traffic is flowing nicely until a work van realizes they need to take the same exit as the trucker. 

Instead of just missing the exit and turning around, or even slowing down to fit in behind the trucker, the work van tries to pull directly in front of the rig and ends up side swiping it. The van is then pushed onto the grassy shoulder by the still-moving semi truck and starts skidding on its side as the truck starts to slow. 

Somehow, the van ends up sitting upright, half on and half off the roadway, while the semi truck comes to a complete stop. 

No injuries were reported in the accident, but that sure wasn’t the way either of them wanted to start their morning. Watch the video below.
