World’s largest Buc-ee’s to open in Texas

Published:

The popular travel center chain will open the world’s largest Buc-ee’s store in Texas next month.

The company says that the world’s biggest Buc-ee’s will open on June 10, 2024, at 10070 I-10 in Luling, Texas.

“The new Buc-ee’s Luling will be the largest Buc-ee’s location in the country, bringing the largest Buc-ee’s back where the legend began. Occupying more than 75,000 square feet, the updated Buc-ee’s Luling will replace the city’s current Buc-ee’s store, which was the brand’s first family travel center, built in 2003,” the company said in a news release.

While the motoring public will be invited to attend the grand opening, members of the trucking community should steer clear as Buc-ee’s still doesn’t allow truck drivers

Other features of the store include 120 fueling lanes and snack, meal and drink options including Texas barbeque, homemade fudge, kolaches, Beaver Nuggets, jerky and fresh pastries.

“We are thrilled to open the doors to the world’s largest Buc-ee’s travel center right here in the Great State of Texas,” said Buc-ee’s Director of Real Estate and Development, Stan Beard. “It’s particularly exciting, considering this is the Buc-ee’s that started it all, so we are really looking forward to celebrating with the incredible people of Luling.”

Last summer, Buc-ee’s opened a store in Sevierville, Tennessee, that was dubbed the world’s largest gas station at 74,000 square feet with 120 gas pumps.

Buc-ee’s operates 50 stores in Texas and other southern states including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee, Missouri, and Colorado. The company has also started construction on stores in Virginia and Mississippi.
