20 cars were damaged after a metal beam came off a flatbed and fell onto I-55 on Wednesday morning.
The accident happened early on Wednesday morning, October 22nd on I-55 southbound near Madison Avenue in Madison, Mississippi.
According to 3 WLBT, A flatbed semi truck was heading south when a metal beam came loose from the trailer and fell onto I-55. Around 20 cars then ran over the metal beam, disabling each of the vehicles.
The flatbed semi truck could be seen pulled over on the shoulder as police spoke to motorists whose vehicles were damaged by the incident.
The metal beam has since been removed from the interstate. No further information has been released.
