‘3 Points of Contact’ could have saved this driver some soreness

A truck driver could have saved himself some soreness and humiliation if he had just followed the 3 Points of Contact rule. 

In the video, a truck driver was caught on camera exiting his rig in a questionable way, which ended with a less than ideal landing. Instead of exiting the cab the way all drivers have been taught – with 3 points of contact – the man tries to just step out of the truck as if he were descending regular stairs, which causes him to slip down the steps and drop his bag. 

The driver gets up quickly and rubs his legs before looking around to see if anyone saw his tumble. 

“First of all… that’s not the correct way to get out… second all u turn around like someone had push you,” wrote one viewer.
