The California Highway Patrol (CHP) recently partnered with the Riverside Police Department (RPD) for a commercial vehicle inspection campaign.
The inspection checkpoint and enforcement operation took place last week along La Sierra Avenue between Indiana Avenue and El Sobrante Road in Riverside, California.

See below for key takeaways:
- 20 commercial vehicle inspections were conducted
- 7 unlicensed/out of class drivers were issued citations
- 9 commercial vehicles were placed out of service
- Numerous equipment citations were issued for various violations
The vehicle out-of-service rate for the operation was 45%.

The inspection effort included CHP Officers from the Riverside area office, CHP’s Inland Division Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit, and RPD.

“Great team effort as we continue to keep our roadways safe for everyone,” CHP said.
