767 violations found during commercial vehicle enforcement blitz along Mass Pike

Hundreds of violations, many out of service orders, and even one arrest was made during a recent enforcement blitz along the Mass Pike.

The Massachusetts State Police conducted the enforcement blitz earlier this week on the Massachusetts Turnpike from the New York border to Boston.

According to the press release, the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Section stopped a total of 369 commercial vehicles and conducted 310 inspections. 767 violations were issued during these inspections, and 79 out-of-service orders were placed for vehicles and truck drivers.

Additionally, $56,770 in fines were issued, one arrest was made, and two summonses were given. MSP calls this blitz along the Mass Pike the “most successful enforcement blitz to date.”
