The Arkansas State Police (ASP) arrested a truck driver and seized thousands of pounds worth of illegal marijuana following a traffic stop on I-40 this week.
At 12:45 p.m. on February 3, 2025, ASP troopers pulled over a tractor trailer on eastbound I-40 at mile marker 2 in Crawford County for a traffic violation, state police said in a news release.
During the traffic stop, troopers discovered seven pallets containing 107 boxes of illegal marijuana.
The total weight of the seized marijuana was 2,872 pounds.
Truck driver Zhiping Mu, 31, from Kent, Washington, was arrested and charged with Trafficking a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Mu is being held on a $150,000 bond.

Mike Hagar, Arkansas State Police Director. “I am immensely proud of our Troopers’ dedication to safeguarding Arkansans by stopping the transportation of narcotics through our state and into our communities.”
