‘Careless driving and brakes not in good repair’ to blame in semi truck construction zone crash, Wyoming troopers say

The Wyoming Highway Patrol (WHP) said that bad brakes contributed to a semi truck crash in an active work zone on I-80.

The crash occurred Wednesday, August 13, on westbound I-80 at mile marker 260, near Arlington, Wyoming.

“As bad as this looks, it could have been so much worse. During the investigation, troopers found that the brakes of the semi-truck were not in good repair, contributing to the collision,” WHP said. “Careless driving and brakes that were not in good repair are considered the primary factors in this crash. The driver of the privately owned Semi-truck was cited.”

Troopers asked drivers to “be extra cautious in construction zones!”
