CHP clocks ‘Fast & Furious’ semi driver doing 91 MPH on I-5

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) recently ticketed a truck driver for a serious speed violation near Yreka.

On March 6, a trooper with CHP – Yreka “observed a big rig driving down Interstate 5 like it was in a Fast & Furious movie!”

CHP says that the semi truck was clocked at 91 m.p.h.

“This is not a racetrack! The maximum speed limit for commercial vehicles and those towing trailers is 55 mph. These large vehicles are heavy and take a longer time to stop then your typical sedan. Slow down and drive to arrive,” CHP said.
