Commercial truck’s trip through weigh station turns up 680 pounds of illegal marijuana, Arkansas troopers say

The Arkansas Highway Police (AHP) reported the seizure of nearly 700 pounds of drugs from a commercial vehicle passing through a weigh station in December.

On December 20, 2025, ASP troopers conducted a conducted a routine federal motor carrier safety inspection on a commercial box truck at the Alma Weigh Station located off I-40 in Alma, Arkansas.

“During the inspection, 680 pounds of illegal marijuana was discovered and seized from the cargo area of a commercial box truck,” AHP said.

AHP did not provide information on whether the driver was arrested or what charges might have been filed.
