Commercial vehicle driver caught running stop sign cited for no CDL, no insurance, and more in Connecticut

Police in Norwalk, Connecticut, recently issued several citations to a driver in a commercial vehicle that was initially pulled over for a stop sign violation.

On May 5, the Norwalk, CT Police Department shared a motorcycle officer’s body cam video from a recent traffic stop on a dump truck.

From Norwalk Police:

As part of our ongoing commercial motor vehicle enforcement, our Traffic Division Officers stopped the driver of this truck after he failed to stop for a stop sign on Wilson Avenue. The truck was towed, and the driver was cited for multiple violations:

  • Failure to Stop for a Stop Sign
  • No Driver’s License
  • No CDL Endorsement
  • Unregistered Vehicle
  • Misuse of Plates
  • No Insurance
