Connecticut police department issues over $11K in fines during single day commercial vehicle blitz

This week, Greenwich Police targeted commercial vehicles with a special patrol that netted drivers more than $11,000 in fines.

The commercial vehicle enforcement effort took place on February 19 in Greenwich, Connecticut.

Officers from Greenwich Police partnered with Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles inspectors for a joint agency effort.

Officers made several traffic stops on commercial vehicles and discovered the following violations:

  1. No Insurance violation
  2. Driver without a CDL endorsement while Driving a commercial motor vehicle
  3. Vehicle placed out of service

In total, $11,182 in fines were issued.
