Canadian police cited a truck driver and trucking company after discovering a slew of serious violations, including an “unacceptable” number of missing trailer tires.
On October 4, 2025, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP)’s Central Region took to social media to detail a commercial vehicle traffic stop that resulted in citations.
“Yesterday, a member of the Caledon OPP Traffic Enforcement Unit stopped this commercial motor vehicle after noticing several missing tires. A subsequent inspection uncovered an expired annual safety certificate along with multiple missing and improperly completed documents,” OPP said.
“Operating a trailer with only 6 of its 20 tires is unacceptable,” officers said.
As a result of the violations uncovered during the traffic stop, the vehicle was placed out-of-service and the truck driver and associated trucking company were cited.
