Dash cam shows chunk of ice from big rig annihilating driver’s windshield

A Pennsylvania driver is asking others to clear off ice and snow from their vehicles following a frightening moment with an ice missile that was caught on dash cam.

The incident was recently captured on driver Josh Keating’s dash cam as he travelled on Route 78 toward Allentown, Pennsylvania, according to local outlet WNEP.

Keating said that a chunk of ice fell off of a tractor trailer and struck his windshield, causing it to partially cave in.

Keating was able to pull off the road safely and suffered only cuts and bruises.

Keating told WNEP that he’s “just talking about this to as many people as possible to hopefully they get this to stop because this happens more often than not.”

A 2022 law requires Pennsylvania drivers to remove ice or snow from their vehicles within 24 hours following heavy winter storms.
