A truck driver’s dog is still missing after a crash that sent a driver hauling doubles off of an overpass and onto the roadway below.
The crash happened at about 4:45 a.m. on an Interstate 270 overpass across East 56th Avenue near Commerce City, Colorado.
According to 9 News, The semi truck crashed off the I-270 bridge and crashed onto East 56th Avenue, seriously damaging the truck cab. The truck driver hauling doubles had to be extricated from the mangled cab and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The truck driver’s injuries have been described as non life threatening. No other vehicles were involved in the crash. East 56th Avenue was closed between Eudora Street and Sand Creek Drive South “for some time.”
The truck driver’s dog reportedly ran from the scene and is still missing. It had not been located as of late Tuesday morning.
