Dozen of truck parking spaces now available in Ohio with reopening of four rest areas

Ohio transportation officials recently reopened four rest areas in Union County and Van Wert County, making dozens of new truck parking spaces available to drivers passing through the state.

On July 18, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced the opening of the following rest area locations with a combined 40 truck parking spaces following major remodels.

“A safe traveler is a well-rested traveler, so our goal is to provide a safe, clean space for visitors,” said DeWine.

The four newly opened rest areas are part of a larger plan that includes 36 new Ohio rest areas and upgrades to more than 40 other Ohio rest stops by the end of 2026.
