Driver successfully escapes police on foot after rampaging at trucking company and leading high-speed chase

A truck driver is still missing after rampaging at a trucking company and leading police on a high speed chase.

The incident occurred on Thursday, February 27th near Dedham, Massachusetts.

According to CBS News, the incident started at Bosco Crane, a family owned crane and trucking company. The truck driver reportedly drove into a forklift, flipping it and causing it to become partially lodged in the side of the trailer. When the company owner told the driver he was calling police in response to his rampaging, the driver drove away in the tractor trailer.

“I thought it was out of a movie, it was really surreal,” said owner Daniel McKeeney. “As soon as he heard we were calling the police, he took off out of there and he had no regard for anyone’s safety or our property, it was insane.”

Police soon spotted the tractor trailer driving erratically on the University avenue ramp to Interstate 95 north in Westwood, and the chase began. The driver led police on a high speed chase before eventually crashing after taking the Great Plain Avenue West Roxbury exit.

The wrecked truck driver then took off running through the woods carrying multiple bags. He was able to evade police officers and their K9s.

“He had a bag, a duffel bag and a knapsack, so I don’t know what was in there but something he didn’t want found,” said witness Parker Harrington.

Police were unable to locate the driver, but are utilizing surveillance footage from the area to continue the search.  Anyone with information is asked to call the Massachusetts State Police.
