Driver, truck, and trailer out-of-service after Tennessee trooper finds load securement violation, no CDL, more

A Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) trooper uncovered several violations after initiating a traffic stop on a commercial vehicle for a load securement issue.

On December 22, 2025, THP shared details on a recent traffic stop conducted by a Motor Carrier Plus trooper.

Initially, the truck was pulled over a load securement violation, “loose bundles of nails and other materials on an open flatbed with no side or rear railings.”

As the traffic stop went on, the trooper discovered “multiple serious violations,” including:

The trooper placed the driver, truck, and trailer out-of-service for the violations uncovered during the traffic stop.

“These violations highlight the importance of proper credentials, equipment checks, and compliance with safety regulations before operating. Ensuring everything is in order protects not only the driver, but everyone on the roadway,” THP said.
