A California-based carrier announced that it will close permanently after four decades in operation.
On July 31, 2025, Fresno-headquartered TGS Logistics announced the company’s permanent closure, effective immediately:
“It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that TGS announces the official closure of its operation, effective July 31, 2025. After four decades of dedicated service to the transportation industry, we will be parking our trucks for good.”
TGS pointed to “challenging market conditions facing the industry” as a reason for the company closure.
Company leaders thanked drivers and other workers for “the dedication, hard work, and resilience you have demonstrated, especially over the last 12-18 months.”

TGS was founded as a truck brokerage in 1985 by Timothy G. Schneider and grew to become a drayage company in California and Nevada, serving the ports of Oakland, LA and Long Beach.
The company operated 20 power units and employed 20 drivers, according to the FMCSA’s SAFER website.
