A family is seeking answers after a woman was found decomposing behind a Tennessee truck stop and motel.
Allecia Wolfe’s body was found behind the I-24 Truck and Auto Plaza, which connects to the Truckers Inn off of Interstate 24 in Manchester, Tennessee on July 14th.
According to WFTV9, Wolfe’s mother, Emily, last heard from her on Friday, July 11th. The following Monday, as Emily was working to file a missing persons report, police notified Wolfe’s daughter, Aleah, that Wolfe had been found deceased behind a truck stop and motel. The Tennessee location is approximately 600 miles from a small park in Orlando, Florida where she was last seen.
“Someone says they saw her get into a black car. Another person says they saw her get into a white semi truck,” Emily said.
Authorities say they are investigating the death as a homicide, but are awaiting the report from the medical examiner to determine the cause of death. Investigators say that decomposition of the body is making the cause of death difficult to determine.
Aleah says that Wolfe struggled with addiction and worked as a street worker, but was a good person.
“I want to know what happened, like who did this to my mom, and why,” she said.
