FedEx day cab hangs off Texas highway overpass

A FedEx day cab was left hanging off of a Texas highway overpass on Wednesday afternoon. 

The accident happened on August 6th on State Highway 146 at the overpass crossing West Main Street near La Porte, Texas. 

According to Fox 26 Houston, the FedEx day cab was on the SH 146 overpass crossing West Main Street when the truck cab went off of the roadway. The cab was left hanging off of the overpass still attached to the trailer. 

The exact cause of the crash has not been released. No other vehicles were involved. The truck driver was transported to a hospital as a precaution. No other injuries were reported. 

The incident forced the closure of the southbound lanes of SH 146 and West Main Street. The service road remained open during cleanup of the incident.
