Female trucker severely beaten by fellow driver in Pennsylvania road rage incident

A female trucker was severely beaten by a fellow driver during a road rage incident in Pennsylvania earlier this week.

The attack happened on Monday, November 3rd at about 9:30 p.m. on Interstate 78 in Bethel Township, Pennsylvania.

According to PennLive, the two drivers were heading west on I-78 when 47-year-old Reginald A. Warner of Humble, Texas, pulled his semi truck in front of the 55-year-old victim’s semi truck and abruptly stopped in the left lane of the highway.

Warner then allegedly approached the victim’s stopped semi truck and accused her of hitting his truck, which she denied. She then rolled down her window halfway to speak with the driver, prompting him to climb up onto her truck and begin punching her through the window. He then managed to lower her window the rest of the way while continuing to punch her.

The victim then grabbed a wooden bat typically used to check tire pressure on the truck and used it to try to defend herself. Warner then managed to take the bat away from her and used it to hit her in the head about seven times. During the attack, the victim’s foot came off of the truck’s brake pedal, which sent her truck rolling into Warner’s.

The victim, a woman from San Antonio, Texas, then called 911, and police arrived to find her beaten, covered in blood, and Warner still at the scene. Both the victim’s and Warner’s account t=of the events matched, with Warner adding that he had taken her keys during the altercation.

Emergency personnel say that the victim may have suffered a fractured skull in the incident. She also required skin glue and nine stitches to close up gashes on her face and head.

Warner was arrested and is still being held in Lebanon County jail on $100,000 bond that has not been posted.
