The Florida Highway Patrol is searching for a semi truck that fled the scene after entering the highway in front of a Jeep on Tuesday morning.
The accident happened on August 19th at around 1:30 a.m. on Interstate 75 near Bayshore Road in North Fort Myers, Florida.
According to WFLA, the semi truck was on the shoulder of I-75 north when it reentered the interstate in front of a Jeep that was traveling north. The Jeep then collided with the truck’s trailer.
The semi truck then continued north on I-75. The Jeep was heavily damaged in the accident.
The motorist sustained minor injuries in the accident. The semi truck is still at large and the Florida Highway Patrol is searching for the driver.
