The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) partnered with the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) for a commercial vehicle inspection detail that uncovered dozens of weight violations.
FHP Commercial Vehicle Enforcement (CVE) officers with the Orlando division partnered with OCSO for a joint detail on Canoe Creek Road, according to a November 6 statement from the agency.

See below for an overview of results from the FHP/OCSO inspection effort:
- 26 inspections conducted
- 25 weight violations cited
- 3 vehicles placed out-of-service
FHP division also highlighted the efforts of CVE – Orlando for placing a particular commercial vehicle out-of-service after multiple violations were discovered, including:
- No trailer registration, wrong tag displayed
- Cracked siderail, bottom of frame
- Truck registration expired, no tag
- No periodic inspection
- Headlamp inoperable
- Cracked windshield
- Cargo not secured.

“CVE is about Safety! Thank CVE-Orlando for removing this unsafe vehicle off of Florida Roadways. By conducting a thorough pre-trip the driver could have avoided all the violations listed,” FHP said.
