Four people have been arrested in connection with a credit card fraud and diesel fuel theft scheme that took place at a truck stop in Bakersfield, California.
On November 6, 2025, the Kern County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) received multiple reports of fraudulent credit card use, totaling thousands of dollars, from a truck stop on Lagoon Drive in Bakersfield.

An investigation was launched, and KCSO identified four suspects using trucks to steal diesel fuel. KCSO said the suspects used several vessels, including fuel tanks and five-gallon water bottles loaded in the bed of two pickup trucks, to hold the stolen fuel.
Two of the trucks were tracked down to a nearby hotel, and police were able to arrest Yasel Yedra Rodriguez, 42, and Yoagner Torres Rodriguez, 42.

The execution of a search warrant led police to computers and electronic equipment commonly used in credit card skimming.

KCSO then located the third suspect truck and arrested Roland Martin Santos, 37, and Aneysi Afonso Amuedo, 34.
Police say that all four suspects were booked into the Lerdo Jail for fraudulent credit card use, alteration of credit card account information, grand theft of property and conspiracy to commit a crime.
