Fourth lawsuit filed against Ukrainian trucker who smashed into line of cars while answering the phone

A fourth lawsuit has been filed against a trucker from Ukraine who caused a fatal wreck while answering the phone as he drove earlier this year.

Motorist Horace Bradford Larrimore filed a lawsuit on Tuesday, November 4th for the May crash in Thomasville, Alabama that flipped his pickup truck. Larrimore was injured in the crash and still suffers from pain in his hip.

According to Fox10, 45-year-old truck driver, Andrii Dmyterko, is named in the suit, along with others found to be liable for the accident. The families of Ashley McDonald and Woodie Beck, who were killed in the crash, have also filed suit against Dmyterko and others. The first lawsuit to be filed for the incident has already been voluntarily dismissed. That suit was filed by another motorist who survived being injured in the accident.

Police say that Dmyterko smashed into several cars as they were stopped at a red light, and was distracted answering the phone call from his wife when he collided with the traffic. Dmyterko is from Ukraine, and his work visa was revoked immediately following the crash.

Dmyterko has not yet been sentenced for the accident, as there was a delay due to difficulty finding a translator. A new translator has been found but has yet to be approved by the court.
