Hot shot slapped with 21 violations during traffic stop

A traffic stop took an ugly turn for a hot shot driver in Ontario this week.

On February 25, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) West Region detailed a recent traffic stop in Wellington.

From OPP:

Traffic Services pulled over this Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) and found the following (21) offenses:

  1. Operate unsafe combination of vehicles – commercial motor vehicle
  2. Defective horn – motor vehicle
  3. No muffler – motor vehicle
  4. Fail to notify change of address
  5. Drive motor vehicle, no validation on plate
  6. Improper means of attachment – commercial motor vehicle
  7. Insecure load – commercial motor vehicle
  8. Improper tires – commercial motor vehicle
  9. Improper tires – drawn vehicle – commercial motor vehicle
  10. Drive commercial motor vehicle with a major defect in it or in drawn vehicle
  11. Improperly drive commercial motor vehicle with a minor defect in it or in drawn vehicle
  12. Fail to surrender CVOR certificate
  13. Improper brakes on trailer – commercial motor vehicle
  14. Fail to ensure performance standards are met
  15. Improper tires – drawn vehicle – commercial motor vehicle
  16. Permit operation of unsafe combination of vehicles – commercial motor vehicle
  17. Overweight vehicle – violate permit …kg
  18. Fail to ensure performance standards are met
  19. Permit operation of vehicle – fail to display inspection sticker or proof
  20. Fail to ensure daily inspection is conducted properly
  21. Fail to supply driver with daily inspection schedule
