Houston truck driver arrested for trying to run fellow driver off the road

A Houston truck driver was arrested on Monday after attempting to run a fellow truck driver off of road. 

The incident happened on December 1st on the West Sam Houston Tollway North in northwest Harris county near Houston, Texas. 

According to KHOU, a truck driver contacted police to report that another truck driver had tried to run his rig off the road. He followed the road raging driver as he was on the phone with police, providing live updates. 

Both vehicles were eventually stopped in the southbound lanes near West Road. Investigators reviewed dash cam footage from the reporting truck driver’s rig and verified the driver’s story. 

The second Houston truck driver was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. His identity had not been released.
