The Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) is reminding drivers about a major road closure taking place at the Mississippi River Bridge this weekend.
On Saturday, November 15, and Sunday, November 16, all lanes of the I-55 Mississippi River Bridge will be closed to allow crews to perform joint repairs. While the southbound lanes of I-55 will reopen Sunday evening, the northbound lanes of I-55 will remain closed until Tuesday.

- I-55 South: 12:01 a.m. Saturday, November 15, through 8 p.m. Sunday, November 16
- I-55 North: 12:01 a.m. Saturday, November 15, through 6 p.m. Tuesday, November 18
The closure will begin at Exit 1 (Bridgeport Road) on I-55 and go through Exit 12 (Crump Boulevard/Riverside Drive) in Tennessee.
ARDOT encourages drivers to use the I040 Mississippi River Bridge as an alternate route.
Message boards will be in place to inform drivers of the closure and of detour routes.
