Idaho troopers conducted 2,100 commercial vehicle inspections during summer operations
The Idaho State Police (ISP) is highlighting commercial vehicle inspection initiatives that took place statewide over the summer.
On October 15, 2025, ISP shared key results achieved by Commercial Vehicle Safety (CVS) troopers from May through August of this year.
In those four months, ISP’s CVS troopers conducted more than 2,100 commercial vehicle safety inspections with the following results:
- 167 drivers placed out-of-service
- 453 vehicles placed out-of-service
The 2,100 inspections were conducted as part of larger inspection details like the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance‘s International Roadcheck campaign, Operation Safe Driver Week, and Brake Safety Week, as well as “district-specific saturations — all guided by crash data and enforcement trends.”
