Indiana trooper assisting with disabled semi truck on I-70 discovers nearly 10 pounds of pot

A truck driver was arrested after an Indiana State Police (ISP) trooper discovered several pounds of marijuana on his disabled semi truck over the weekend.

At 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, December 28, 2025, ISP Master Trooper Ryan Winters stopped to assist a driver with a disabled 2017 Kenworth on westbound I-70 near mile marker 28.

The driver, identified as Anthony R. Brown, 42, showed “indicators of criminal activity,” according to Public Information Officer Matt Ames – ISP.

ISP said that Brown refused to exit his truck and was removed by Trooper Winters.

A subsequent search of the semi truck led to the discovery of “nearly ten pounds of marijuana along with various packaging materials.”

Brown was arrested and faces the following charges:

Brown was booked into the Clay County Jail.
