A lighted truck parade with 75 participants brought in $6,500 worth of donations in an Oregon town over the weekend.
The DR Johnson Memorial Timber Truckers Light Parade happened in Myrtle Creek, Oregon on Saturday, December 13th.
According to The News-Review, the lighted truck parade consisted of 75 trucks and made its way through Riddle, Tri City, and Myrtle Creek once the sun set for the evening. This is the 32nd annual parade with a record number of participants.
The parade ended with a judged competition awarding the truck with the best decorations for first, second, and third place with ribbons and cash prizes.
“Not only did we have the most participants this year, but we had the most money brought in, donated. We had $6,500 donated from our community,” said parade organizer organizer Jeff Johnson.
