Love’s truck stop in Texas to welcome first-ever Whataburger this year

Published:

Love’s Travel Stops will open a popular burger chain restaurant location in one of its Texas stores this year.

As part of the company’s 2025 growth plans, Love’s will add a Whataburger location inside of the company’s San Antonio, Texas, truck stop in late summer or early fall, CSP reports. This will be the first-ever Whataburger store to open inside of a Love’s location.

Whataburger is popular for food items including the signature burger, chicken strips, onion rings, and choice of Whataburger Fancy or Spicy ketchups.

With the opening in the San Antonio store, Love’s will now partner with 20 QSR (quick service restaurants). Other Love’s QSR partners include Bojangles, Subway, Arby’s, and Baskin Robbins.

Also as part of Love’s 2025 plans, the company announced it will start construction on 20 new stores this year and will begin remodels on 50 existing locations. Love’s plans to add approximately 1000 new truck parking spaces to its network, surpassing 50,000 spaces across the country, in 2025.

“As we enter the year, we’re committed to continuing to enhance the customer experience for all,” said Shane Wharton, president of Love’s. “This year, we’re excited to introduce new and updated locations, innovative food and drinks and continued improvement of the services and amenities we offer. With our continued focus on the evolving needs of customers, we’re confident we’ll provide an even better experience across our network in 2025.”

Oklahoma City-headquartered Love’s operates 655 locations in 42 states.
