Police charged a man in connection with a suspected road rage shooting that sent a semi truck driver to the hospital on Monday afternoon.
Jose Israel Teran, 22, has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to police.
The charge was issued in connection with a shooting and semi truck-involved collision that occurred around 3:30 p.m. on January 6 in San Antonio, Texas.
Police say that a road rage incident occurred on I-35 northbound close to the Thousand Oaks Drive exit.
Authorities allege that Teran was behind the wheel of a sedan and that he fired at a semi truck as part of the road rage incident, striking the 36 year old semi truck driver in the leg.
The sedan and the semi truck crashed following the shooting, KTSA reports.
The truck driver was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of the gunshot wound.
No other injuries were reported.
