Man who broke into truck cab to rob driver arrested two weeks after incident

The man who broke into a semi truck cab and attempted to rob the truck driver has been found and arrested by police two weeks after the incident. 

39-year-old David Smith was arrested by Gibson, Pennsylvania police on Thursday, November 20th for a November 9th incident at the Kwik Fill on Crossley Road in Montrose, Pennsylvania. 

According to 16 WNEP, Smith broke into the Peterbilt truck cab of a 25-year-old truck driver at about 7 p.m. with the intent to rob the driver. The driver and Smith quickly engaged in an altercation inside of the truck, and Smith eventually fled the scene in a gray Dodge pickup. 

Smith was arraigned on Thursday and jailed at the Wyoming County Correctional Facility in lieu of $50,000 bail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for December 8th.
