Officials in Baltimore County, Maryland, are investigating after a bridge collapsed underneath a commercial truck on Monday evening.
At 5:20 p.m. on October 20, 2025, the Baltimore County Fire Department (BCFD) responded to a bridge collapse involving a septic truck at Carroll Road and Philpot Road in Phoenix, Maryland.
Firefighters and police shared images of the truck stuck on the collapsed bridge deck.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the bridge collapse remains under investigation by the Baltimore County Police Department (BCPD).
The one-lane bridge with wooden deck and metal trusses was reportedly built in 1879 and refurbished in 2006.
