A truck stop in Anthony, Texas, was heavily damaged by fire on Friday morning.
The fire was reported around 6 a.m. on March 21 at a Flying J travel center located at 3001 Mountain Pass Blvd., off of I-10, in Anthony.
Video and images from the scene show the travel center completely engulfed in flames.
According to KTSM 9 News, Anthony Police believe the fire may have originated in the kitchen of a Denny’s restaurant attached to the truck stop.
No injuries have been reported at this time.
The Pilot Company issued the following statement:
“The safety of our team members and guests is our top priority and we are relieved to report that all have been accounted for and are safe after a fire that originated at a Denny’s location attached to our Flying J travel center in Anthony, Texas. A reason for the structural fire will still need to be determined. We are grateful to the first responders at the scene who helped ensure everyone on property was able to evacuate the building safely. We are cooperating with the local officials as they investigate the cause, and we ask you to direct any inquiries to the proper authorities.”
