Missouri troopers share dash cam video from ‘wild’ Christmas Day semi truck pursuit

The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) shared dash cam video from a “wild Christmas Morning” semi truck police pursuit.

The MSHP video was captured on December 25, 2025, in multiple Missouri counties.

Troopers say the pursuit began when the operator of a tractor trailer failed to stop for Troop F officers.

From MSHP:

Beginning in Montgomery City, this truck sped through towns, crossed into oncoming traffic and struck several vehicles. Even on multiple flat tires, the driver kept going—until the chase ended in Hannibal.

Coordinated efforts by Hannibal Police Department, Ralls County Sheriff’s Office, and Audrain County Sheriff’s Office brought the driver into custody. No serious injuries were reported and the driver is now facing several felony charges.

The driver involved in the pursuit was later identified as California resident Francisco Portillo, 42, who was booked into the Marion County Jail.
