Mobile home gets hung up on railroad tracks during haul, New Mexico sheriff says

Published:

The Chaves County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) out of New Mexico responded to an unusual incident involving a mobile home haul on Monday.

At 8:35 p.m. on January 20, CCSO deputies responded to the railroad crossing at Highway 256 and Lupton Road in Chaves County, New Mexico.

There, deputies discovered that “a single wide mobile home, while being moved, got stuck (high-centered) on the train trucks.”

Authorities were able to reach BNSF and trains in the area were stopped to prevent a collision with the stuck mobile home.

CDLLife has reached out to CCSO for more information on this incident.
