Motorist hospitalized with broken legs after crashing into concrete pillar oversize load

A motorist is in the hospital with broken legs after crashing into a concrete pillar being hauled as an oversize load. 

The accident happened at 4:50 a.m. at the intersection of 19th Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road in Phoenix, Arizona. 

According to AZ Family, a motorist in an SUV crashed into the side of the concrete pillar, which was being hauled through the intersection by a semi truck. The force of the collision lodged the SUV beneath the pillar. 

The motorist suffered from broken legs and was transported to a nearby hospital.

The accident is still under investigation. No further information has been released.
