Multi-agency CMV inspection operation in California uncovers 79 violations

Multiple California law enforcement agencies partnered for a recent commercial vehicle inspection and enforcement operation in the Rialto area.

On September 30, 2025, the Rialto Police Department (RPD) released results from a recent “Commercial Enforcement Multi-Agency Operation” held in north Rialto, California.

The purpose of the enforcement detail was to “ensure the safe operation of commercial vehicles and reduce crashes caused by mechanical failures and driver fatigue,” police said.

See below for key results from the Rialto CMV inspection effort:

  • 89 vehicles inspected
  • 32 citations issued for a total of 79 violations
  • 7 vehicles placed out of service
  • 1 vehicle towed

Other participating agencies include the California Highway Patrol, Chino Police Department, San Bernardino Police Department, Pomona Police Department, Irvine Police Department, Riverside Police Department, and the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
