Ninety commercial vehicles inspected during ‘violent crime suppression detail’ on Illinois interstates

On October 6 — 9, 2025, ISP conducted a “violent crime suppression detail” along the I-55, I-64, and I-70 corridors.

During the detail, troopers conducted traffic stops “with an emphasis on traffic safety, reducing fatalities, and the apprehension of individuals utilizing the highway systems in the furtherance of criminal activities.”
